Alexandre Romariz Sequeira born in 1961, lives in Belém (PA). Visual artist and photographer, with Master’s Degree in Art and Technology at UFMG, teacher at the Institute of Science of Art (UFPA). His artworks establish relations between photography and social otherness. He attended photography congresses, seminars and exhibits, such as Une Certaine Amazonie, in Paris/France; International Biennial of Photography, in Liège/Belgium; Exhibit and artistic residence at Engramme Cultural Center, in Quebec (Canada); X Biennial of Havana (Cube); Paraty in Focus 2009; PhotoFestPoa, in 2010 and 2011; Recife Festival of Photography, 2010; Symposium and Exhibit “Brush with Light”, at the University of Art Media and Design of New Port, United Kingdom; International Festival of Photography of Pibgyao (China); Exhibit “Giant by Nature”, in Valencia, Spain; Generation 00 – New Brazilian Photography; and Portfolio Project – Itaú Cultural Institute, São Paulo/ Brazil. He has artworks at UFPA Museum Collection, Cultural Space Casa das 11 Janelas (House of the 11 Windows), MASP/Pirelli Collection and Museum of Contemporary Art of Rio Grande do Sul.
