Guy Veloso born in 1969 and works in Belém (PA). His artworks are in the collections: Essex Collection of Art from Latin America, Colchester – England; Portuguese Center of Photography, Porto – Portugal; Roseli Nakagawa Collection; Pirelli/MASP; J. Paiva/MAM-RJ; MAM-SP; and MAR – Museum of Art of Rio. In 2005 he becomes part of the book “Photography in Brazil, a Look from its origins to Contemporary Times”, by ângela Magalhães and Nadja Pelegrino. In 2005 he took part in the exhibit “Generation 00 – New Brazilian Photography”, curated by Eder Chiodetto. During the same year, he was the head-curator of the Brazilian contemporary photography, at the 23rd Europalia Biennial f Arts in Brussels, Belgium. In 2012 he became part of the book “A look towards Brazil: Photography in the Construction of an Image of a Nation”, by Boris Kossoy and Lilian Schwarcz. He took part at the 29th International Biennial of São Paulo (2010), after being invited by the curators Agnaldo Farias e Moacir dos Anjos.
